5+1 WHY ARTOPOL?: NUSRET
1) Why art?
Art is about exploring personal and social experiences, individual and collective memory, and creating new meanings and perspectives in the process. Art offers the opportunity for new discoveries about both myself and the audience.
2) How would you describe your art in five words?
Innovative, emotional, digital, interactive, philosophical.
3) If your works could speak, what would they say to the viewer?
The visual language I present to you is here to encourage you to think, question, and gain new perspectives. While observing me, embark on your own inner journey; because art finds its deepest meaning in these journeys.
4) Do you have a memorable moment in your art journey?
During my first exhibition, a moment while preparing my works was very special. During the exhibition setup, I had the chance to observe the visitor’s reactions. The visitor stood in front of the artwork for a long time, examining it, and then started to explore the interactive part. The expression of amazement and admiration in their eyes was an indescribable source of joy for me.
5) Do you have any peculiar obsessions, and do they reflect in your art?
Some of my obsessions significantly influence my art. My fixation on specific color and shape harmony is often visible in my works. Wanting everything to be perfectly balanced creates a distinct order in my compositions.
