About The Artist

Farhad Abdi is a multidisciplinary artist born in Tehran, Iran. His artistic practice spans a wide creative range that includes painting, graphic design, illustration, and sculpture. With more than twenty years of experience, Farhad has developed a diverse and constantly evolving body of work rooted in visual storytelling, emotional depth, and a distinctive sensitivity to form and color. As an official member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the artist demonstrates his long-standing engagement with cultural institutions and the broader art community through this membership.

His works are known for their simple forms, quiet emotional resonance, and contemplative atmosphere. Over the years, he has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in various countries, collaborating with national and international institutions such as the ECD Cultural Institute, Iranian Museums, embassies’ cultural departments, and ICOM. These collaborations reflect Farhad’s interest in intercultural dialogue and his ability to bring together different artistic communities.

Farhad’s artistic style often moves between minimalism and metaphor. The compositions he creates with bold lines, limited color palettes, and symbolic forms reveal a deep sensitivity to existence and silence. His recent series, “To Become A Tree,” marks an important turning point in his creative journey. This series focuses on themes of rooting, solitude, resilience, and the quiet strength found both in nature and within the human being. In this series, Farhad invites the viewer into a meditative space—where trees become metaphors for the human experience, and painting transforms into a way of listening, pausing, and reconnecting with inner rhythms.
