Artopol Gallery presents Boran Günday’s new solo exhibition “The Masquerade” starting January 9, 2025. In his works, the artist revisits the creative dialogue between the concepts of “abstract” and “abstraction,” sharing his artistic vision built upon these foundations with the audience.

Boran Günday’s approach to abstraction adds multilayered depth to human figures. The figures in his works are characterized with names such as “Fool,” “Prince,” “Addict,” and “Businessman,” offering insight into individual and societal traits while encouraging viewers to reflect on human behavior and characteristics. His abstraction style creates a narrative language that questions the relationship between the individual and society.

In Günday’s abstract works, the aesthetic impact of colors and forms takes center stage. These dynamic compositions invite viewers to interpret them personally. Amid the depths of the abstract world, an individual search for meaning emerges, guiding the audience through diverse emotional and mental experiences.

The artist aims not to confront viewers with painful realities but to transform these dark memories into beauty and hope, offering a new perspective. Challenging traditions and fostering dialogue, Günday stands out as a strong representative of this vision. His works provide not only a visual experience but also provoke thought and reflection. Each piece captures the untold stories of human existence with depth and complexity, positioning him among the most promising artists of his generation.

Boran Günday’s art maintains a balance between abstract and abstraction, creating a unique coherence. The emotional impact of color and form in his works merges with human-centered themes, taking the viewer on a sensory journey.
