A Journey Through the Rooms of the Heart: Talip Keser’s Inner Maps
Artopol Gallery hosts Talip Keser’s solo exhibition “The Rooms of My Heart” from May 28 – July 15, 2025, featuring his recent works. For nearly twenty years, Keser has pursued interdisciplinary production, and in this exhibition, he treats the canvas not just as a medium of expression but as a map of inner orientations and personal memory.
Born in 1990 in Uşak, Talip Keser graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department. His early training in the workshops of Emin Özdemir and Orhun Kara shaped his multilayered approach, allowing him to establish a distinctive language in the contemporary painting scene. Since 2014, Keser has been producing works in his Uşak studio, gaining international recognition. He has participated in prestigious events including the Beijing Art Biennale (China), Clio Art Fair (USA), and UNFAIR Milano (Italy). In 2024, his solo exhibition “Sürç-i Lisan” at GB Art Gallery in New Jersey attracted attention.
“The Rooms of My Heart” reflects Keser’s inner experiences through abstract imagery and intuitive visual language. Large-scale canvases reject classical figurative depiction, inviting viewers to navigate through color, line, and space. As the artist states, “infinity begins within us”—and this exhibition aims to map that inner infinity.
Each painting represents not a room but a direction, an inner deviation, or an abstract projection of memory. Maps, urban abstractions, and topographical distortions serve as transitional spaces moving between emotional layers. The layered surfaces suggest both revelation and concealment, offering the viewer a journey of perception.
Keser’s works highlight individual memory, childhood traces, and intuitive narratives between imagination and reality. Lines on his canvases do not define boundaries but evoke a sense of direction; colors are read as expressions of mood rather than defined regions; empty spaces invite intuitive completion.
“The Rooms of My Heart” presents a narrative at the intersection of aesthetics and personal memory, inward-looking yet open to the viewer. Talip Keser allows audiences to explore not only the rooms of his own heart but also to rediscover their inner maps. Every painting poses a question, every direction suggests a discovery.
