Step Istanbul is a “step” taken to strengthen the essential connection between the artist, the art buyer/viewer, and the artwork. This art event, initiated to address accessibility—a current issue in the contemporary art world—is based on the idea of bringing art into everyone’s life. In this context, dozens of galleries and hundreds of artworks await participants through special events.
The fair, held at Taksim 360, ensures accessibility primarily through its central city location. Artwork prices start at 500₺ and go up to a maximum of 20,000₺. This pricing policy lowers the financial barrier to accessing art. Additionally, Step Istanbul brings together various artists and institutions, providing participants with a diverse and art-filled environment.
As Artopol Gallery, we are participating in Step Istanbul with a strong collection. We will feature works appealing to different styles and budgets and showcase emerging artists, bringing contemporary art and its contemporary creators to you.
We will also be present at the fair with our online identity, supporting our institutional structure through collaborations with other organizations. Through our joint work with Samsung, we are integrating Artopol’s digital presence into Step Istanbul. This way, we combine the strength gained from traditional gallery practices with a new-generation approach.
Step Istanbul will be the first fair Artopol participates in. Alongside the payment conveniences offered in the gallery, we hope to reach even more art lovers through fair opportunities. As a young yet strong gallery, we look forward to welcoming you to this young and dynamic art event.
Step Istanbul will take place from November 18-22, 2020, following preview days on November 16-17, 2020.
