Artopol Art Gallery presents “Gülcan Karadağ: 40 Years in Art” from April 20 to April 30, 2022, featuring a special selection of the artist’s most striking works from different periods and series.
In this exhibition, we will witness the transformation of the depths and mysteries of imagination, intertwined with mysticism, into a work of art.
History is in a constant state of motion. Accordingly, the history of thought reflects this movement through its diversity. In her works, Gülcan Karadağ unites this ongoing philosophical journey—dating back to ancient civilizations—with mystery and aesthetics.
The artist applies the sfumato technique in her works, which gives a sense of realism and dimension. This technique allows tones to merge seamlessly, creating a silky softness and visual depth.
The central focus of the exhibition will be Karadağ’s most recent series, centered on forests. Nature, the source of life, finds continuity in the harmony of the forest. The earth is its cradle and creativity. If the artist represents the soil, then the forest is her masterpiece!
You can visit Gülcan Karadağ’s solo exhibition “40 Years in Art” between April 20 – 30, from 10:00 to 22:00, at Artopol Art Gallery located in 42 Maslak.
